11-3-26   THOUGHTS

At times, senseless ignorance is our plight.  We must always seek God’s presence!  Jas 4:8  “Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.”  We have some dimension on God’s drawing near to us in our reading.   If we desire the things of this earth, we risk double-mindedness!

Ps 73:21-25    When my heart was embittered And I was pierced within,  22  Then I was senseless and ignorant; I was like a beast before You. 23  Nevertheless I am continually with You; You have taken hold of my right hand. 24  With Your counsel You will guide me, And afterward receive me to glory. 25  Whom have I in heaven but You? And besides You, I desire nothing on earth.

Our Prayer:
Help us in our “drawing near” to You, O God!  May we abide in Your presence.  Hold our hand and counsel us continually.  Give us that promised “living hope”. O Father.  There is nothing but YOU, O God.  Keep us from worldly things.  Set our desire on You fully.   In our Savior’s name,   Amen.
